Fawn Mckay

Fawn MCK Brodie was born on September 15th, 1915 at Ogden Utah. Reared in the Mormon Church's first family Fawn McKay devoted her brilliant writing talents as well as her remarkable research skills to creating an outstanding psycho-historical biographical biography of Joseph Smith, published in 1945. The book was titled"No Man is able to know My History. This title was inspired by the funeral sermon given by Joseph Smith who was the creator of the Church of Latter-Day Saints. His audience was shocked by his telling his audience: "You don't even know my name. You have never known my feelings." No one knows my story. I can't tell. Fawn 29, who was 29 was a writer. Fawn took over the role of writer since the day he began. Many have abhorred him and some have praised. There are a few who have come to the diagnosis. The documents are not there, but that they are so contradictory. The task is to sort out first-hand testimony from third hand inconsistencies and integrating Mormon-related narratives into a coherent theology. This is exciting as well as instructive. This is the kind of task to which Fawn Brodie devoted herself professionally. Thaddeus S. Stevens is immortalized in her writing and by the results of her studies. The Devil drives (1959). Thomas Jefferson. A Personal History of Richard Nixon (1974) as also the posthumously Richard Nixon.
