Harry Edward Styles, known to the world of music by the name of Harry Styles, is a British composer and performer acknowledged as being one of the band members in the band One Direction. He was born in Holmes Chapel, Cheshire, England on February 1st, 1994. He is the father of Des Styles and Anne Cox. Harry Styles was a student at Holmes Chapel Comprehensive School where three of his classmates made up a group of musicians called White Eskimo. They won the Battle of Bands 2009 thanks to their outstanding performance. Although he's always interested in music, despite his interest he was also thinking about becoming a lawyer and an physiotherapist. He worked at a local bakery part-time to help families financially. As of the year 2010, Harry Styles presented audition for The X Factor where he performed the song Is not She Lovely by Stevie Wonder and was selected. This is why his group was forced to break up. The audition was held on The X Factor the jury Nicole Scherzinger suggested that Harry Styles be part of the group that was to be known as One Direction along with Liam Payne Zayn Malik Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson. Simon Cowell was the sponsor of this band, which formed in the year 2010. The group sang songs such as My Life Would Suffer Without You from Kelly Clarkson, and Total Eclipse of the Heart, by Bonnie Tyler during the contest. The group was one of the favorite groups for the coveted prize. The group was however placed third place behind Rebecca Ferguson, and the winner Matt Cardle. Although Harry Styles and his group were not crowned winners, Cowell paid a contract of 2 million pounds for One Direction to sign with the Syco recording label.
