She was in the television show Wipeout. The show became a hit after the scene where she asks about the pole that she can't see and yet is in view of her. The interest of the public in this girl's story led producers to contact the Tweto family about doing a reality-based series about their experiences in Alaskan wilderness. Jim, her father is sceptical but agrees to let the cameras roll in his office. Era Alaska is still run by him, a Bush Pilot. Flying Wild Alaska on Discovery Channel was a huge success since it exposed the many challenges that the Twetos have in managing their aviation venture. To many Americans the pressure of living in a place which evokes the early days Wild West is riveting. People who love the Twetos are able to celebrate victories with them and feel their pain when they fail. Jim and the bush pilot and Ferno at the ground are never idle. Ariel is a positive person in the middle of all this. Ariel always had an interest with aviation from a young stage, given that both her grandparents Jim as well as Ferno are pilots. Flying Alaska, the 2011-2012 series takes Ariel through her journey to become a licensed pilot. Following the retirement of her father, Ariel assumes the charge of managing of the family's business in flying. Alaskans are concerned by the rate of suicide among teenagers, which can be up to seven times higher than the national average. Ariel's solution to this issue was to co-found a non-profit organization named Popping Bubbles in which she visits schools and other youth gatherings to talk to children about why they should have the motivation to achieve their goals instead of giving in to depression.
