
Elizabeth Chase Olsen (born February 16th, 1989) is an American actress from the United States. Olsen was born in Sherman Oaks, California. She began acting when she was four years old. In 2011, Olsen was a star in Martha Marcy May Marlene, her first film role. The film was critically acclaimed for the role and was nominated for the Critics' Choice Movie Awards. Silent House was her next film role. Olsen received a BAFTA Rising Star Award nomination and was awarded a degree from New York University two years after. Olsen was a global star for her portrayal of Scarlet Witch and Wanda Maximoff in the Marvel Cinematic Universe media series. The character was featured in the superhero films Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015). Captain America: Civil War (2016). Avengers: Infinity War (2018). Avengers: Endgame (2019). Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (2022). She was nominated for an Primetime Emmy Award as well as an Golden Globe Award for her performance in WandaVision. She was executive producer of and performed in Sorry for Your Loss (2018-19), receiving a Critics' Choice Television Award nomination.
